About the course
This course is designed to prepare students for the boarding school entrance examinations.
Who should take this course:
Primary, secondary and high school students.
Boarding school entrance examinations
Entrance examinations vary slightly from school to school, but most UK schools require English and arithmetic/mathematics. Many schools offer one additional subject, Science (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) or any other subject of your choice, for a total of three subjects.
Additionally, students might also need to take verbal reasoning (i.e. a test of verbal ability) and non-verbal reasoning (i.e. a test using graphics and symbols).
Some schools require the submission of scores from the ‘UKiset’, a test covering all of the above subjects, instead of taking separate exams.
Course content
Test preparation is tailored to the subjects of the examinations of the schools to which you are applying.
If you have attended school in your home country and have never taken an overseas curriculum, we will start by strengthening your English, so the course lasts for 6 months or more. If you do not have much time before you start studying overseas we can make a short-term intensive study plan for you.
