【Seminar】 How to design your academic path to enter a UK University

　

We are pleased to announce an online seminar!

Seminar overview

This seminar will provide detailed information on the appeal of UK universities, the requirements for admission and the application process. Professionals who have graduated from Imperial College London themselves and have assisted many students to enter and study at UK universities will also share their own experiences and introduce the UK education system and strategies to enter higher education.

This seminar is recommended for those who want to consider their children’s future higher education abroad, rather than just a few years’ expatriation or a temporary move abroad. Families with children of primary to high school age who are considering their future career path are encouraged to attend.

The second half of the seminar will include a Q&A session from the audience, so please feel free to ask any questions you may have!

1. the attractiveness of British universities

　- Based on the latest world rankings and his own experiences.

2. admission requirements and application processes for UK universities

　- Foundation Course or International Curriculum (A-level/IB)

3. the cost of attending a UK university and scholarships

　- Three fully-funded scholarships for formal study abroad.

4. designing a pathway from Japanese schools to UK universities

　- Recommendations for obtaining A-level/IB

　- Introduction to the UK education system, pre-A-level GCSEs

5. the appeal of UK boarding schools

　- With stories of his own experiences.

　- Short-term summer study: about summer school

6. introducing examples of students from Japanese schools who have gone on to study at British universities.

　- (i) Studied in the UK in the third year of junior high school and went on to university.

　- (ii) University enrolment from domestic IB schools.

　- (iii) University entrance via Foundation Course from Istanbul School.
